The Port of Portland’s Municipal Terminal No. 4, located on the Willamette River just north of the Saint Johns Bridge, opened in 1919. Used primarily for grain distribution, its elevator could hold up to one million bushels of cereal crops, which remains one of Oregon's primary export goods.
