Bio

Pat Service was raised on the west coast of Canada. After graduating from college, she lived in eastern Canada, Scotland, and Venezuela; since 1972 Service has lived in Vancouver and painted full-time. Cranberry Flats has some of the typical elements of her paintings: a big sky, a road wandering off into the distance, and colorful foliage. "Without any specific objects or large structural shapes to attract attention," she says, "I am able to concentrate on color."
