After returning to Portland, she taught at Pacific University (which was founded by her great, great grandmother, Tabitha Brown) from 1904 to 1910. She was one of the early women members of the Portland Sketch Club. Years later she served on the Portland Art Commission from 1940 to 1946. Her style was impressionistic.
