Description
Almeria, capital and port city of the autonomous community of Andalucía is located in southern Spain. It was conquered by the Catholic monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella of Castile in 1489. Today it is an industrial center that produces metal, canned fish, chemicals, refined oil, sulfur and cement. Almeria architecture has a more Moroccan than European appearance.
