Bio

Domenico Ghirlandaio was one of the leading artists of late 15th-century Florence, admired for his portraits, frescoes and numerous altarpieces. His highly successful studio employed a number of assistants, including Michelangelo as well as Francesco Granacci and Guiliano Bugiardini.
