Description

Tim Roda explores notions of family history through staged photography by acting out childlike fantasies and early memories along with his wife and young sons. Through homemade sets, costumes, and dramatic lighting, Roda’s incredible worlds evoke mythology—both historical and familial—as well as fairy tales and fables. These complex vignettes highlight the sometimes fraught, often rich father-son and mother-child relationships and teeter between vibrant imagination and striking reality.
