Bio

In Portland since 1950, Claude McGraw was an instructor for the Parks Department, an Assistant Director of the Junior Museum from 1953-1967, and the Director of Portland Parks Art Center until his retirement in 1978. He had one person shows at Louis Bunce's Kharouba Gallery in 1952, the University of Portland and the Portland Art Museum in 1959. Western landscapes, particularly the mountains of Oregon and Washington, dominated his work. The Museum's Rental Sales Gallery represented him. Besides painting he had an interest in photography.
