Refers to the culture of the Maliseet, a Native American tribe belonging to the loose confederation of eastern American Indians known as the Wabanaki Alliance, together with the Passamaquoddy, Penobscot, Micmac, and Abnaki Indians. The Maliseet mainly live in Canada, especially New Brunswick, with one group across the border in nearby Maine.
