Bio

Max Buhman attended Reed College in Portland, the Art Students League, and the National Academy of Design in New York City. In addition to painting, Max Buhman created sculpture, mostly in metal. He served as Registrar for the Portland Art Museum from 1949 to 1953. His work was shown at the Seattle and Portland Art Museums.
