Bio

Stefana McClure translates, transposes, and decodes the synesthetic structure connecting text and image and her work unveils the layers of embedded information to which we are constantly subjected. Fragmentation, obliteration, and reconstruction of information characterize her drawings, paintings, and multimedia work. McClure has exhibited her work across North America and Europe; her work is in numerous public collections in the US including the Museum of Modern Art, NY; Harvard University Art Museum, Cambridge, MA; The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX; The Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT; and Seattle Art Museum, WA.
