Northwest Masters: Forgotten Prints from 1910 to 1945

2005

Northwest Masters surveys the largely unknown work of 21 key printmakers in Oregon and Washington in the early 20th century, from ca. 1910 to the mid-1940s. This period saw the earliest development of prints in the Northwest. While little is known about the genesis and evolution of Northwest printmaking, this exhibit attempts to fill gaps in knowledge through the examples of artists; work uncovered by guest curators Morgan Walker and Christy Wyckoff.
