People of the River: Native Arts of the Oregon Territory

2005

The first major museum exhibit to focus specifically on the artistic expressions created by the Native Americans who traditionally lived along the Columbia River from the mouth of the Snake River to the Pacific Ocean. The exhibition is divided into three sections: sculptural works made from stone, wood, horn, bone, and antler; various basketry forms and techniques; and beadwork.
