Bio

A Tokyo native, Enokido graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Bunka Gakuin in 1960. She launched her career by exhibiting oil paintings in the Action Art exhibitions between 1960 and 1962 and prints at the Japan Print Association exhibitions, where she won awards in 1962 and 1965. Her international reputation grew after her work was included in a 1965 exhibition of contemporary Japanese prints that toured the United States, as well as her participation in the 1967 Sâo Paulo Biennale.
