Description

Jacob Lawrence created eight color screenprints for this lavish edition of the first book of the Bible. The artist's powerful images, which were inspired by his memories of sermons given by ministers at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem, give the text a modern urgency and expressive impact.
