Details

Lamps with eight small oil fonts or candle sockets, one for each day of observance of the festival of Hanukkah, and a ninth oil font or candle socket, called the shamash or server, used for lighting the others. Often confused with the menorah, the holy candelabra used in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem and described in the Book of Exodus.
