Description

Arthur Fellig, better known as Weegee, was a dedicated photographer of the spectacular. He doggedly sought out the exciting and the hazardous throughout New York City—including fires, murders, and car accidents—and regularly photographed dangerous animals and enthusiastic crowds when the circus came to town. This picture of the behinds of two zebras, one young and one full grown, demonstrates that Weegee was also drawn to innocently humorous spectacles.
