Bio

A resident of Sapporo, Japan, Itō specializes in still life, both flowers and fruit, employing the labor-intensive color mezzotint technique to achieve subtle gradations of color and rich, jewel-like tones. She is the daughter of Itō Jin (1915-1996), a well-known painter, and one senses some of his pictorial lyricism in her work.
