Description

Bowers first began making light works that employ political slogans in 2010. By elevating the temporary trappings of protests into sculptures, Bowers brings the messages into new contexts, recycling their ideas, and furthering their impact. Radical Patience, 2016, has a more expansive association as it underscores her own approach to politics. It is a concept that realizes no one cause or person is independent, and that true change is the result of the endurance of many over time.
